Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus

We begin our Christmas sermon series on Sunday 1087at 6 PM. Actually, one could make the argument that we’ve been in the advent series since the beginning of August because we’ve been preaching through the whole story of the Bible since then.

The story of God is the story of Jesus Christ our Savior. And after covering the 39 books of the Old Testament in the last 4 months, we are eager to see how everything comes together in the true story of the birth of Jesus Christ. God has come near. Jesus was born to save His people from their sins and now we can be saved through his perfect life and sacrificial death.

Join us on Sunday as we celebrate the arrival of the long-expected Jesus and sing:

Come, Thou long expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free;
From our fears and sins release us,
Let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s strength and consolation,
Hope of all the earth Thou art;
Dear desire of every nation,
Joy of every longing heart.
